A Finalist Promo Jumps Almost 40x, and the Board Still Won't Blink
Charlotte Smoothie's CS 26-27 Finalist promo is up more than 3,700% on the week, yet the Ledger holds it at HOLD. Here is why, plus Shakuyaku, Marco, and a cooling Silvers Rayleigh.
Some charts just do not look real, and today's belongs to Charlotte Smoothie.
The CS 26-27 Event Pack Finalist Ver (P-090) sits at A$26.86 after a 7 day move of 3,726.5%. That is not a typo, but it deserves some context before anyone gets excited. This is a promo with only 4 recorded sales in the last 30 days, and in a market that thin, a handful of transactions can swing the reported price from pocket change to collector money almost overnight. The Ledger stamps it HOLD, which is its way of saying the data shows a big number but not yet a convincing market behind it.
It is worth remembering what a spike like this tells us and what it does not. It tells us that someone paid a lot more than the previous buyer did. It does not tell us that dozens of collectors suddenly agree on the new price. Until the sales count catches up with the headline percentage, we read moves like this as a data point, not a trend.
Today's top moves
Shakuyaku from the Premium Card Collection Best Selection Vol. 5 is the steadier story. It is up 161.8% over the week and 245.2% over the month, now at A$19.24, with A tier liquidity and 320 sales in the last 30 days behind it. That volume is the difference: this move has been tested by a lot of buyers, not just a few.
Marco from the Anime 25th Collection (OP08-002, SP) is the card wearing the ACCUMULATE stamp today, at A$2,148.60, up 45.1%. A caution is in order here too: it is a C tier liquidity card with a single recorded sale in the last 30 days, so the jump reflects one new price point rather than a broad re-rating. The stamp is real, and so is the thin footing.
The Gold Alternate Art DON!! card pairing Luffy and Loki from The World's Strongest Warriors keeps grinding higher. It is up 67.5% this week and 44.6% over the month to A$51.98, with 685 sales in 30 days and a HOLD stamp.
Silvers Rayleigh (Legacy of the Master, OP12-001 alt art) is the cooling story. It is up 48.2% on the week to A$38.78, but its stamp slid from ACCUMULATE yesterday to HOLD today. Strong movers do eventually run out of easy room, and the stamp change is the system noting exactly that.
What we're watching
Today is a busy day on the calendar. The Elbaf Arc Part 2 finale airs today, and anime finales are a recurring moment we track for nostalgia-driven interest in older sets. On Monday, October 12, the Banned/Restricted list update lands with OP14-020 Mihawk banned, which is the kind of change that can reshuffle which leaders and supporting cards players reach for.
Beyond that, EB-05 arrives on October 30 in English, with Regionals Season 2 starting in Pomona on November 7. For the cards above, the thing to watch is whether the sales counts on Smoothie and Marco grow. If they do, the new prices are being confirmed by more buyers. If they stay at a handful, we treat the numbers with the caution they have earned.
That is the pulse for today: one wild outlier, a few genuine climbers, and a system doing its best to tell the two apart.
