Shanks and Rocks.D.Xebec Just Joined OP-17's Bleeding List
The alt-art crash we've been tracking widened today, catching a leader-tier Shanks and both Rocks.D.Xebec prints in the same sell-off that's been eating OP-17 for a week.
The single sharpest move on the board today wasn't a new name, it was an old one falling further. OP17-093 Monkey.D.Luffy priced at US$9.08 yesterday and closed today at US$6.66, a single-day slide of roughly 27%. Its seven-day read has now deepened to -77.03%, and the card remains stamped SELL WATCH. Our backtest shows SELL WATCH names historically keep bleeding, a further median drop of about 10.7% over the next four weeks, so there's no reason to read this as a floor yet.
Today's top moves
Shanks OP17-020 got pulled into SELL WATCH today at US$75.98, down 74.67% on the week, the first time this crash has clearly reached one of OP17's headline leaders rather than a role-player.
Rocks.D.Xebec took it from both sides: OP17-039 sits at US$133.38 (-53.85% for the week) and OP17-118 at US$40.33 (-49.58%), both freshly downgraded to SELL WATCH in the same stretch. Both were still stamped HOLD yesterday, which is how quickly this one has moved.
Kalifa kept climbing regardless, jumping to US$15.08 from US$11.75 a day earlier. Its seven-day read now sits at +169.3%, up from +109.8% the day before. That is a low-base number as much as a demand number: EB01-031 was trading at US$5.60 a week ago, so the percentage looks more dramatic than the dollars behind it.
The board underneath
Zoom out and the wider catalog is only modestly worse than yesterday. Sell watch counts rose from 750 cards to 783, accumulate actually ticked up from 495 to 505, and hold barely budged. Across more than seven thousand tracked products that is a rounding error, not a market-wide unwind. The damage is concentrated in OP17 chase rarities, and it helps to keep that in view before reading a set-specific crash as a signal about anything else.
The buy setup count, meanwhile, is still stuck at one. Gecko Moria OP06-080 at US$491.81 is the only card in the entire catalog carrying that stamp, and it has now held that position two days running.
What we're watching
Whether OP17-020 Shanks is the point where this stops being a chase-card story. Leaders trade on playability as much as scarcity, so a leader that keeps sliding after the alt arts have steadied would say something different about the set than another week of rarity unwinding. We're also watching that buy setup count. One card out of seven thousand is the system saying it sees almost nothing on sale, and how long that lasts usually tells you more than any single day's red number.
