The Sell List Just Got Smaller, Even as Luffy's P-080 Keeps Ripping
Our board cooled off overnight with fewer cards flagged SELL WATCH, but one promo Luffy just will not stop climbing, and the system still refuses to chase it.
Yesterday our board carried 1,050 cards under SELL WATCH. Today that number dropped to 938, while HOLD count climbed from 5,702 to 5,809. Small shifts, but they point the same direction: the market's cooling off its worst corners a little.
Meanwhile Monkey.D.Luffy - P-080 refuses to read the room.
This OPDD promo is now up 118.9% over the past week to A$123.36, and it was already one of yesterday's headline gainers before that. Two days running of this kind of climb usually gets collectors reaching for the buy button, but our system is still stamping it HOLD. That's the overheating check doing its job: we don't chase vertical spikes, no matter how tempting the chart looks. History backs the caution, since dip-buying into this kind of market has historically lost.
Today's top moves
Charlotte Oven is up 88.2% this week to A$23.38, another hot card still sitting on HOLD rather than a green light.
Senor Pink has climbed 81% over 7 days and 81.5% over 30, a rare case where the weekly and monthly numbers line up almost perfectly, now sitting at A$26.39.
Carrot's CS 25-26 Finalist version jumped 69.3% both this week and this month to A$660.85, a low-liquidity card where big swings aren't unusual.
Buckin is up 46.8% this week but a staggering 670.8% over the past month at A$18.38, a reminder that some of these spikes have been building for weeks, not days.
Elsewhere, Tony Tony.Chopper's rare SP printing sits at A$5,819.70 after a 31.9% weekly gain, and it's one of the few big movers actually stamped ACCUMULATE rather than HOLD. Our backtesting shows ACCUMULATE flags have historically finished higher about three times out of four over the following eight weeks, so that distinction matters more than the raw percentage.
No major set releases or events are flagged on our radar today, so it's a pure price story.
That's the pulse. Watch the HOLD pile, not just the gainers list.
