A Promo Card Just Doubled in a Week, and the System Still Says Hold
For Fun rockets past 100% weekly gains and Sabo alt art chases it, but this week's biggest movers all share the same flat stamp: hold.
If you wanted proof that a card can go vertical without earning a buy stamp from our system, today hands it to you on a plate. For Fun, the OP14 promo pull from Premium Card Collection Best Selection Vol. 6, is up 104.4% this week and a staggering 456.7% over the past month. It now trades at A$24.38. And it is still marked HOLD.
This is the overheating check doing its job. Our backtesting shows dip buying into a near vertical spike is historically a losing game in this market, so even a chart this hot doesn't automatically flip to a buy signal. The system wants to see room to run below a prior peak, not just momentum for momentum's sake.

Sabo's OP13-004 alt art climbed 65.4% this week and is now up 94.9% over 30 days, sitting at A$42.37, and it's HOLD too.

Sanji, the Online Regional 2023 Finalist promo, jumped 64.7% to A$462.38, a big move on a card that already lives in rarefied territory.
Vista (TR) from OP16 is up 49.7% this week to A$44.95, part of a broader OP16 alt art cluster that's been moving together.
Portgas D. Ace's OP16 alt art is the one exception worth noting: up 24.3% this week and 31.7% over 30 days at A$96.90, and it actually carries an ACCUMULATE stamp, meaning it cleared the bar the others haven't.
That Ace print is a useful contrast today. It's not the biggest percentage gainer on the board, but it's the one our system is comfortable stepping toward, because the move still leaves room below where the card has traded before. Historically, ACCUMULATE calls like this have finished higher about three times out of four when we check back two months later. The louder movers above it are the ones getting watched, not bought, at least for now.
No sign-off needed beyond this: hot charts and green stamps aren't always the same thing, and today's board is a clean reminder why.
