A Starter Deck Villain Just Earned a Rare Buy Signal While a Doubled Sabo Gets Ignored
Donquixote Doflamingo flips to a rare Buy Setup stamp today, while a Sabo alt-art that's up triple digits over the past month still can't shake its Hold tag.
Buy Setup stamps are rare on this board, so when one shows up, it's worth stopping for. Today it's Donquixote Doflamingo out of OP03 (ST03-009), flipping from Hold straight to Buy Setup at around US$97.73 (about A$137.53).
Our backtesting shows these high-conviction flags have historically been right roughly 84% of the time, which is a much better hit rate than chasing a hot weekly chart. Speaking of hot charts, that brings us to the real story of the day: a handful of cards are up huge and the system still won't touch them.
Today's top moves
Sabo's OP13-004 alt-art is the headline mover, up 127% this week and a staggering 192% over 30 days to A$60.97, and it's still parked on Hold. That's the overheating check doing exactly what it's designed to do: a card that's already run this far and this fast doesn't get chased just because the chart looks exciting.
Jinbe from OP05ANN is right behind it, up 88.4% on the week and 104.4% over the month to A$37.16, another Hold despite the fireworks.
The Fest 23-24 edition Brook (ST01-011) climbed 36.2% this week and 51.2% over 30 days to A$28.14, same story: strong move, no chase signal.
The Online Regional Participation Pack 2024 Vol. 3 is the one gainer that did earn an Accumulate stamp, up 30.8% to A$239.21, suggesting the board still sees room below its prior highs even after the pop.
Sanji's Round 1 Promo (OP15-047) is the wild card: up 30.4% this week to A$71.29, but still sitting 72.1% below where it was 30 days ago. That's a Rebound Watch, not a green light, a bounce off a steep prior fall rather than fresh strength.
No new catalysts on deck today, so it's a pure price-action session. The pattern across the board is consistent: plenty of green arrows, very little permission to buy into them, and that discipline is exactly why the system flagged Doflamingo instead of the louder names.
That's the board. Trade carefully out there.
